This week the lovely Sílvia of The Happiest Pixel nominated me for a Sunshine Blogger Award.
Silvia lives on the island of Menorca (I’m extremely jealous) and her beautiful blog features some amazing recipes along with an inspiring collection of wonderful photos.
Along with food and photos, she’s also a big cat fan and said when visiting a new home she often pays more attention to the cat than the owner which as a crazy cat lover myself is a big plus point to me.
There’s also a whole host of DIY crafty posts on Silvia’s blog and it’s in general it is great source of creativity and inspiration.
Anyway, this is my first nomination so here goes…
If you could go back in time, what would you change?
In my own life if I could go back I would have worried less about things which don’t matter and cannot be changed. As a constant worrier, I’ve wasted many, many hour worrying about things which really do not matter in the grand scale of things.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Once I’ve won the lottery (or secured my book deal…) I’ll be living in my own home in London with several cats and taking frequent trips up to the Lake District to visit my holiday home.
In reality… probably renting still in Hackney and getting up a 5am for baking sessions.
What is the thing you love to do the most?
This is a tough one, I love to bake – obviously – and find it incredibly rewarding and de-stressing but I also love walking in the Lake District with no one else around apart from Rob and some herdwick sheep for company.
If you had to leave your home and move somewhere else, where would you go?
After living in San Francisco for a year I fell in love with it and I would always like to move back although I wouldn’t say no to a house overlooking Buttermere.
What is your favourite movie of all times?
Argh – this one is too tricky and I definitely can’t pick just one. Favourites include; Elf, Singing in the Rain, Notting Hill, La Confidential and The Shining (I’m sure I’ll think of better answers as soon as I’ve published this).
What is your dream job?
Something that involves baking, cats and writing.
If you were to go on a desert island and you could only bring one food with you, what would that be?
Do you listen to music when you write your posts?
Not really, I usually have something on in the background though – right now it’s Mary Berry’s new cookery show but usually it’s Radio 4.
What do you like to do on the weekends?
Catch up with my friends and family, usually somewhere across north or east London.
Do you blog everyday?
No – if I did I would have to give up sleeping.
Name one person you are extremely thankful for and without whom, you wouldn’t be where you are today.
This is another impossible one. Given that I’m currently in wedding mode it would probably be Rob who puts up with my 5am baking (and making lots of noise in the kitchen) and is always a keen taste tester.
