As a journalist with a love of baking, this blog which features new recipes I’ve made, cakes I’ve baked and my thoughts on everything cake-based, was the natural conclusion to endless baking experiments and cake testing.
I’m always on the look out for new recipes to try and ingredients to incorporate so please get in contact if you have something you’d like me to try out.
I also make wedding and occasion cakes on request. My style of baking is floral, romantic, natural cakes, with a buttercream finish and covered in fresh flowers – yet I am always up for a challenge (last year I made a red velvet cake in black icing for the wonderful Death & the Maiden blog).

Prices will depend on size, flavours and location. Single-layer occasion cakes (with 20 servings) start from £10, and three-tier wedding cakes (with 80 servings) start from £180.
